Music
At Hopedale Mennonite Church we engage in worship in various ways, one of which is music. Some people share their musical gifts in worship by playing instruments (piano, organ, etc.) for our prelude and offering. Special music is also arranged on occasion.

We encourage everyone to join in during our times of congregational singing. Our worship time includes songs of praise, a song of response after the sermon and a sending song.

We have two hymnals, Hymnal: A Worship Book (blue) and The Mennonite Hymnal (red) as well as two supplementary songbooks in the pews, Sing the Journey (green) and Sing the Story (purple). Songs are typically chosen from those four books and lead by a song leader. The song leaders often lead acapella (with no instruments) or with simple accompaniment. Most songs are sung in four part harmony.
